ACCIDENTS & INCIDENTS is an experimental musical, performance and film project created by and featuring migrant and PoC youth. Following the tracks of a futuristic sound art, they are collaborating with the musician and artist Ghazi Barakat and the musician Osman Arabi between March and June 2017 to create something new.
With ACCIDENTS & INCIDENTS the protagonists assert and attempt a radical sensuality, a temporary dissolution of boundaries between art and everyday life. We venture the concept of a radical sensual experience, which, in the self-conception of avant-garde artists and particularly the futurists, constituted a strategy of constructing identity and reality. This can generate activity in the viewers, can mobilise them and let them become radical co-producers ‒ at least according to what Artaud and Brecht claim. What this can mean for our work from a post-migrant perspective, will be presented in the performance.
