Mentors: Janine Jembere (Filmmaker) und Michael Götting (Journalist)
In issue no. XVIII of Kiez-Monatsschau young people share their point of view on Black perspectives.
Their films talk about everyday life in the refugee protest camp at Oranienplatz in Kreuzberg, about their families, Black people in advertisements, being Black in the perception of people who are blind, signs of Blackness in sign language and gestures of resistance.
The mentors for this project are the filmmaker Janine Jembere and the journalist Michael Götting, who already supervised a Kiez-Monatsschau on Black perspectives in the previous repertory season. With the numerous ideas the participants came up with during the first collaboration, we now realise a follow-up in a new constellation within the Black Lux festival.
